Avril Lavigne is attractive, in fantastic shape, and in great spirits. However, until recently this popular songwriter/singer celebrity admits that she had such angst and sometimes even anger in the lyrics of her songs. She discovered that her daily high carbohydrate food intake was affecting her mentally, physically and emotionally. Too many carbs! At least many of the songs were hits!

“I was eating bad stuff. Lots of sugar and carbs; junk food all the time. It makes you very irritated. I spent some time with a nutrition expert and learned I had low blood sugar. Now I eat accordingly.”
Nowadays, Avril Lavigne is eating sensibly. She says, “I have to have a lot of energy and I feel like certain foods can weigh you down. I eat really healthy most of the time, but definitely pig out sometimes! It’s important you’ve gotta live life a little so I do eat fast food every once in a while. But 90 per cent of the time I eat a vegan diet.”
Her vegan diet consists of small mini meals all day to keep her low blood sugar in line. She’s into low-fat high fiber foods, consisting of whole grains and veggies. Avril loves vegetarian pizza, but claims it harms the vocal cords so she doesn’t eat too much.
