Lauren Goodger is a British TV personality and a cast member on the reality show, The Only Way is Essex. She vowed to get in shape before her holiday this summer in response to comments from her fiancée and fellow cast member, Mark, that she is huge and a big mama after seeing her on-screen.

And it seems that Lauren stayed true to her word. While vacationing in Spain with Mark for their celebratory engagement holiday, the 24-year-old star was seen strolling and taking a dip on the pool at her hotel wearing a red bikini. It appears that the reality star has shed a few pounds. So, what’s her secret to losing weight?

According to Lauren, she has been attempting to stick to the ‘no carbs before Marbs’ rule advocated in the ITV2 show. Aside from eating healthy, she also started exercising under personal trainer, Nikki Diamonds.

What’s healthy eating for Lauren? She’s eating little and often – things like salads, chicken and smoothies. She also tries to stay away from bread and pasta, and prefers couscous over stodgy potatoes.

Under Lauren’s personal trainer, a mixture of running and weights are part of her exercise regimen. And Lauren really noticed a difference when she started training. As a result, she became more confident of her body.

Also, Lauren knows one of the main reasons she puts on weight – drinking. She admitted that after a night out, she wants a carbo-loaded diet and eats a lot.

I’m one of those people who loses weight quickly, but puts it on just as quickly. If I train and eat healthily you can notice, and if I drink and eat rubbish you can notice.”
